I Don't Just Run IT. I Build It.
Hands-on technology executive who architects, builds, and runs the systems that keep problems solved. I help small and mid-sized software companies re-architect slow, inefficient systems and processes, drawing on infrastructure, database, security, and product leadership. Highlights include a 99.9% uptime SaaS platform, a 48-hour ransomware recovery for every customer, and a 90% cut in annual virtualization expense.
- Architected and built a private data center from the ground up, running a multi-customer CRM SaaS platform at 99.9% uptime.
- Led ransomware recovery across 90+ VMs and restored every customer within 48 hours.
- Moved 90+ VMs to a new virtualization platform in 15 days with no customer outages, cutting annual operating expense 90%.

Problems Solved, and Kept Solved
Hand me to the leader who needs problems with processes and systems re-architected, or new solutions invented.
My greatest strength is that I solve problems, and I build the systems that keep them solved. That has been true since high school, when I taught myself programming, built PCs for friends, and started consulting for local businesses.
I joined Clear Technologies as an outsourced consultant, carried on with Clear C2 after it split off, and became Head of Technology there, designing, building, and running its entire data center, network, hardware, and security infrastructure.
Infrastructure, applications, databases, networking, and security aren't separate functions to me. They're parts of one business system. That lets me weigh decisions technically and commercially, and communicate with everyone from engineers to executives.
I built and led database, DevOps, and operations teams, and I've mentored engineers into leadership roles. Beyond the Resume →

Case Studies
Real problems, what I did, and what changed.
Ransomware Recovery
Situation: Ransomware hit more than 90 virtual machines in production.
Action: I took the incident commander role, led recovery, and coordinated findings with the Department of Homeland Security in support of a federal prosecution.
Result: Services restored for every customer within 48 hours.
Leaving VMware
Situation: Virtualization licensing costs were climbing.
Action: I led the migration of 90+ VMware VMs to Proxmox VE on existing hardware.
Result: Done in 15 days with no customer outages, and a 90% reduction in annual virtualization operating expenses.
A Data Center From Scratch
Situation: A growing SaaS platform needed infrastructure we controlled end to end.
Action: I architected and built it with ownership and construction teams: power, cooling, network, and capacity planning.
Result: A stable environment that runs with minimal intervention and supports a national operations platform for a Fortune 100 wireless carrier serving 5,000+ users.
Who I'm Right For
I'm unusually right for a small to medium sized company that is struggling with inefficient and slow processes and systems, because I'm the guy that architects solutions and improves efficiency, not the one that accepts things as they are.
Hire me when
- You have problems and challenges to solve
- Systems need to be re-architected or invented
- You want one leader across infrastructure, data, and security
Don't hire me if
- You need someone to only run established systems
- The goal is to keep things exactly as they are
